IBM Support

The Ingestion Service does not log ServerSerial

Troubleshooting

Problem

Switching the LOG_LEVEL for CNEA pods to TRACE, DEBUG or "10" ensures either the ServerSerial or Identifier is logged. This enables Omnibus events to be traced through the pods. The exception is the Ingestion Service.

Symptom

  • Edit the deployment for the Ingestion service and change LOG LEVEL to 10
  • Send events through the gateway = by either inserting new events or updating ScopeID on old events
  • Check the Ingestion service logs for the ServerSerial of the events
  • The ServerSerial for the events is not in the logs.
