Summary
The CNEA grouping engine bases its grouping windows on the time when events are processed by the deduplication CNEA pod. This is expected to be shortly after the event is sent from Omnibus, to the eanoigateway pod. So, for new events, this time should not be very different from the FirstOccurrence field of the event. For updates, and re-inserted events the time can be significantly different. And in cases where events are stored in probes, and replayed later, the difference can also be significant. How to handle events, with significant time discrepancies, is the subject of this document.
