PH56404: DFHFC7111 SEVERAL MINUTES AFTER THE CFDT SERVER FAILS AND THEN RESTARTS. ALSO REPEATED ABEND0C6.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The CFDT server fails and restarts.   Then several minutes
  later, a CICS region that had been connected to that CFDT
  issues:
  
  AXMSC0042  Connection close failed for token 12345670, reason is
  8.
  
  DFHFC7111 DBDCCICS An attempt to disconnect from the coupling
  facility data table server for pool POOL1 for connection token
  X'12345670', issued by module DFHFCDO has failed.
  AXMSC0031I Connection to server DFHCF.POOL1 has been opened.
  
  
  Then after that, at regular intervals, that same CICS region
  gets IEA995I messages reporting abend0C6 .   There is a Sysabend
  dump that shows that the abend0C6 is occurring in the CFDT
  Server address space and is a purposeful abend0C6 .  The BEA for
  that abend0C6 shows that the brancher to the odd address is at
  offset x'8A' into AXMXMBEG.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CFDT server reconnect after abnormal    *
  *                      termination during an open API program  *
  *                      run caused abend ACFC.                  *
  ****************************************************************
  CFDT server was disconnected unexpectedly while an Open API
  program was running and using the CFDT server. Disconnect error
  is observed in the joblog.
  Later on when the CFDT server is restarted, CICS region
  gets IEA995I messages reporting ABEND0C6. It indicates that
  the CFDT reconnect occurred on a different TCB than the
  connection-owning TCB.
  Abend ACFC may also be observed indicating CF data table reopen
  failed.
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS has been changed to switch to the QR TCB whilst
  reconnecting to CFDT pool server.
