IBM Support

Unable to change display format for property value of Date Time type with "datePattern" in ECM Toolkit.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Users can list documents stored in IBM FileNet P8 Content Platform Engine(CPE) using Content Management(ECM) toolkit UI Controls. These UI Controls allow customization of column definitions by allowing designers to define "Columns" configuration, where user-defined properties of documents can be shown by setting the "otherField" setting. Moreover, the columns configuration provide additional data formatting options that controls how the respective column can be formatted and displayed.
The data formatting options is demonstrated in the redbooks on page 236 of 428.
Columns

For example, for a Date Time property that is defined as an "otherField", the data format can be changed by setting options parameter value with "datePattern" setting(ex. "datePattern":"yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm")

But, if the user-defined property is added to a child class of the cmis:document class and the CMIS query filter queries against the cmis:document class, the data formatting option on the Date Time property would not apply, and would be displayed in UTC format(i.e. yyyy/MM/ddThh:mm:ssZ).
