Image not rendering in PDF and Excel reports

Troubleshooting


Problem

Images do not appear in PDF and Excel report outputs after upgrading IBM Cognos Analytics.
The images reside within the gateway installation in webcontent/<custom folder>/images and referenced in reports as "../../<custom folder>/images/<image file name>

Symptom

An empty rectangle appears in the PDF report output in the image place.
