Summary

Golang Go is used by IBM Robotic Process Automation for Cloud Pak as part of the operator framework (CVE-2022-2879, CVE-2022-2880, CVE-2022-41715, CVE-2022-41716, CVE-2022-41724, CVE-2022-41725, CVE-2023-24534, CVE-2023-24536, CVE-2023-24537, CVE-2023-24538). Containerd is used by IBM Robotic Process Automation as part of the operator framework (CVE-2023-25153, CVE-2023-25173). This bulletin describes the updates to address these vulnerabilities.

DESCRIPTION:   Golang Go is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by the failure to set a limit on the maximum size of file headers by Reader.Read. By using a specially crafted archive, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to exhaust all available memory resources.
