Error description
ABEND1C5 REASON=000A0013 is encountered during offload processing after turning on LS_ALLOCAHEAD in a logstream with active connectors. The abend is due to a mismatch setting of two bits. During the transition of the LS_ALLOCAHEAD logstream attribute from pending to no longer pending there are two paths that can cause bits PCNTL_AOctl_inuse and Lcb_AdvCurds_ProActive to not be in sync, leaving Lcb_AdvCurds_ProActive On and PCNTL_AOctl_inuse off: 1. If the logger structure becomes full during dataset switch processing. 2. If logger structure duplexing is stopped and restarted without a rebuild in between VERIFICATION STEPS: Confirm PCNTL_AOctl_inuse is off while Lcb_AdvCurds_ProActive is on and one of the conditions described in the Error Description has occurred. For data set switch processing look for CTRACE entry AOCTL CREATE FAILED.
Local fix
RECOVERY ACTION: Disconnect and reconnect the logstream.

This APAR addresses two specific situations that will result in the ABEND appearing: 1) ABEND issued during offload processing while the activation of the LS_ALLOCAHEAD log stream attribute is pending and during data set switch processing, a call to IXLLIST WRITE fails with RC0C, RSN0C1C0C17 (structure is full). 2) ABEND issued during offload processing while the activation of the LS_ALLOCAHEAD log stream attribute is pending and a structure duplexing rebuild was previously performed. (example: SETXCF START,REBUILD,DUPLEX,STRNAME=xxx)
Problem conclusion
System Logger is changed to ensure the 2 internal control blocks representing the LS_ALLOCAHEAD attribute are in a consistent state after: 1) The data set switch processing recovers from the IXLLIST WRITE failure. 2) The structure duplexing rebuild is performed.
