Abstract

This interim fix addresses APAR, security fixes, and internally found issues since the release of IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0.5 release.

Download Description

* Fixes that are included in interim fix 3.

* Security-related items:
    - IJ46842: SECURITY APAR: UPGRADE APACHE COMMONS NET IN TBSM 620 FOR CVE-20 21-37533
        The following packages are being updated on the dashboard server:
          - commons-net-1.3.0.jar to commons-net-3.6.0.jar
    - IJ46843: SECURITY APAR: REMOVE HSQLDB IN TBSM 620 FOR CVE-2022-41853
       The following packages are being removed from the dashboard server:
         - hsqldb-2.0.0.jar

 

Prerequisites

       * Prerequisites:
          This interim fix requires Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0 FP5 to be already installed on the systems. As well as:
              Impact: 7.1.0 FP29
             JazzSM: 1.1.3 FP18
       * Special considerations:
           1) The DASH/JazzSM servers need to be stopped before installing this interim fix.
           2) It might be necessary to clear the browser cache.

Installation Instructions

    Installation, migration, upgrade, and configuration information:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
       * Hardware and software requirements:
          Refer to the Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0 Release Notes for a full description of all the hardware and software requirements.
          To apply this interim fix, you need approximately 50 Mb of free disk space.

       * Dependencies:
          This interim fix must be installed on each server that has the Tivoli Business Service Manager GUI (DASH/JazzSM) server installed.
    
       * Prerequisites:
          This interim fix requires Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0 FP3 to be already installed on the systems. As well as:
             Impact: 7.1.0 FP22
            JazzSM: 1.1.3 FP11
       * Special considerations:
       1) The DASH/JazzSM servers need to be stopped before installing this interim fix.
       2) It might be necessary to clear the browser cache.

       * Extracting this interim fix: Windows and Non-Windows
           - Extract the file on each server that you need to install on.
             6.2.0.5-TIV-BSM-IF0003.zip
       * Installing this interim fix:
          NOTE: There is no GUI mode for this interim fix.
          Install the interim fix with the same user that was used to install Impact 7.1.0 and Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0.
       * Installation script usage:
        On Tivoli Business Service Manager Dashboard Server
           ./install_IF.sh|bat jazzsm_home tbsmdash_home
             jazzsm_home is the directory where JazzSM is installed tbsmdash_home is the directory where Tivoli Business Service Manager Dashboard is installed
        Example:  ./install_IF.sh /opt/IBM/JazzSM /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsmdash
        NOTE: The same applies to the uninstall_IF.* scripts!

       All DASH/JazzSM servers
       =======================
         1.) Stop the DASH/JazzSM Server
         2.) Open a command prompt and change to the directory where the files were extracted
         3.) To install interim fix 3:
               Run the install_IF.sh or install_IF.bat script
         4.) Start the DASH/JazzSM Server
       * Uninstalling this interim fix
  
    Note: This interim fix must be uninstalled on DASH/JazzSM servers used for Tivoli Business Service Manager visualization.
    All DASH/JazzSM servers
    =======================
        Uninstall the interim fix with the same user that was used to install Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0.5 IF3.
        1.) Stop the DASH/JazzSM Server

        2.) Open a command prompt and navigate to the backup directory where the files were backed up, by the interim fix installer

        3.) Run the uninstall_IF.sh or uninstall_IF.bat script

        4.) Start the DASH/JazzSM Server
