Troubleshooting
Problem
You can use data rule functions to perform specific operations when you build data rule definitions and work with data rules. These functions are unavailable or missing in Information Analyzer thick client versions 11.7.1.3, 11.7.1.4 and 11.7.1.4 SP1.
Symptom
In the graphical user interface of IBM Information Server Console (Information Analyzer thick client) - Data Quality, the Functions tab holds a list of the different functions that can be used in the data rule logic, etc. But in client versions 11.7.1.3, 11.7.1.4 and 11.7.1.4 SP1, that list is empty and no functions are listed.
Cause
Information Analyzer data quality libraries are missing from Information Server client only installations.
Diagnosing The Problem
When you go to the Functions tab in the IBM Information Server Console (Information Analyzer thick client) - Data Quality graphical user interface in client versions 11.7.1.3, 11.7.1.4 and 11.7.1.4 SP1, the list of available functions is empty.
Resolving The Problem
Copy the dataquality.jar from <Information Server Install Location/IBM/InformationServer/ASBServer/lib> on the Services Tier to <Information Server Client Install Location/IBM/InformationServer/ASBNode/lib/java> on the Client Tier. Then, restart the Information Analyzer thick client.
