IBM® DOORS® DXL error: incorrect regular expression (In a character range [x-y], x is greater than y.)

Troubleshooting

Problem

In DOORS DXL, a regular expression fails with the following error:

-R-E- DXL: <Line: *> incorrect regular expression (In a character range [x-y], x is greater than y.)
-I- DXL: execution halted
You need to ensure that the regular expression character range lists the lower limit on the left of the dash "-" and the upper limit on the right.

Symptom

In line * of your script, you define a character range within a regular expression.
