APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Using LSA Protection on Windows Client and Server systems,
    PCSNP.DLL found in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder is blocked. Only
    Microsoft signed DLLs can be stored in this folder.
    
    The PCSNP.DLL file needs to be digitally signed.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

    * All IBM Personal Communication (PComm) Users using LSA       *
    * protection.                                                  *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * PComm users when enable Local Security Authority (LSA)       *
    * protection in Windows, it blocks the PComm files that are    *
    * not signed.                                                  *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    This issue occurs because LSA does not allow any unsigned binary
    for use. The PComm binaries that are installed in Windows system
    folders are not signed.

Problem conclusion
