Question
FileNet Content Manager and IBM Content Foundation no longer provide a JRE. Instead, the customer must supply their own JRE. This technote provides guidance on which JRE can be used when installing, upgrading, or running the following components:
- Content Platform Engine, including the Configuration Manager
- Content Search Services, including the CSS tools
- Content Platform Engine Clients
- Content Services GraphQL API, including the Configuration Manager
- Content Engine Bulk Import Tool
- FileNet Deployment Manager (FDM)
- Process Designer, including Process Administrator, Process Configuration Console, vwtool, and pelog
The attachment at the end of the technote explains how to set the required environment variables so that the installers and software use the appropriate Java version.
