IBM i Group PTFs, IBM i 7.4 - SF99661, IBM i 7.3 - SF99581, & IBM i 7.2 - SF99481, for IBM WebSphere Application Server v8.5 will no longer be released effective immediately. The IBM i WebSphere Application Server v8.5 Group PTFs will still be available for download, but will no longer be released with newer WebSphere Application Server v8.5 fix pack levels. The WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.23 fix pack level is the final level included. Here are the final IBM i Group PTF levels containing the 8.5.5.23 fix pack level.
IBM i 7.4 - SF99661 level 10
IBM i 7.3 - SF99581 level 16
IBM i 7.2 - SF99481 level 23
When updating your IBM WebSphere Application Server v8.5 Fix Pack level to 8.5.5.24 and later, fix pack repositories will have to be manually downloaded and restored to the IFS. More information on this process can be found here, https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/667103.
Effective immediately, the IBM WebSphere Application Server v8.5 IBM i Group PTFs for IBM i 7.4 (SF99661), IBM i 7.3 (SF99581), and IBM i 7.2 (SF99481) will no longer be released. The IBM i Group PTFs will still be available for download, but will no longer be released with newer WebSphere Application Server v8.5 fix pack levels. As a result, the 8.5.5.23 fix pack level will be the final fix pack level included in an IBM WebSphere Application Server v8.5 IBM i Group PTF.
To obtain the installation repository for fix pack levels 8.5.5.24 and later, it is now required to manually download and restore the fix pack repository to the IBM i IFS before it can be installed.
