Troubleshooting
Problem
Cognos Analytics does not display a login prompt to enter username and password on the home page. Instead, the home page displays the error "AAA-AUT-0013 The user is already authenticated in all available namespaces".
Symptom
Namespace cannot be tested in Cognos Configuration successfully, but works with another server and with a third party tool
Only one namespace is configured in the environment. On testing the namespace, the following errors are seen:
[ ERROR ] AAA-LPS-0005 Unable to communicate with legacy namespace server, it may have become unavailable. Please try again later.
[ ERROR ] java.rmi.NoSuchObjectException: could not get connection to LPS
[ ERROR ] CAM-AAA-0055 User input is required.
[ ERROR ] CAM-AAA-0036 Unable to authenticate because the credentials are invalid.
[ ERROR ] CAM-AAA-0125 The user <username> does not exist in this namespace.
[ ERROR ] java.rmi.NoSuchObjectException: could not get connection to LPS
[ ERROR ] CAM-AAA-0055 User input is required.
[ ERROR ] CAM-AAA-0036 Unable to authenticate because the credentials are invalid.
[ ERROR ] CAM-AAA-0125 The user <username> does not exist in this namespace.
Another server is able to connect successfully to the LDAP server with the same settings in Cognos Configuration (including bind credentials and base distinguished name).
It is possible to connect to the LDAP server successfully by using third party tool ldapsearch.
