PH52741: DB2 IDAA AND KPM DB2 ENDUSER ENHANCEMENTS

Error description

• DB2_IDAA_STAT_A_x tables experiencing contention issues, as well
  as KPM_DB2_ENDUSER_x tables experiencing a large volume of data.

  *                      in the KPM_DB2_ENDUSER_H, _D tables.    *

  *                      2. Contention issues occur on the       *
  *                      DB2_IDAA_STAT_A_H, _D tables when using *
  *                      multiple collectors.                    *

  *                      3. IDAA table DB2_IDAA_STAT_S_H is      *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTFs.                     *

  1. Collect resulting in excessive data on the
  KPM_DB2_ENDUSER_H, _D tables due to having almost unique user
  and workstation names for each Db2 transaction.
  
  2. Contention issues occur on the DB2_IDAA_STAT_A_H, _D
  tables when using multiple parallel collectors. This is due to
  not being able to partition based on the ACCELERATOR_ID.
  
  3. IDAA table DB2_IDAA_STAT_S_H is collecting empty segments
  that contain no useful data.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. Option provided to use a default value for columns
  END_USER_TRAN and END_USER_WORKSTN on table KPM_DB2_ENDUSER_H
  instead of the SMF value.
  
  2. Data currently collected on the DB2_IDAA_STAT_A_H, _D tables
  will now be collected on the DB2_IDAA_STAT_S_H, _D tables with
  views representing the DB2_IDAA_STAT_A_H, _D tables.
  
  3. A WHERE clause is added to the  DB2_IDAA_STAT_S_H update
  definition to eliminate the empty segments.
