IBM offers the PFE_FixAOS_Consolidated_v2.0 ICS disk, to perform the necessary changes on DS8000 HMCs. This ICS content is also contained in the PFE_DS8900_CCL_PreCheck_v1.5 ICS for DS8900F, and PFE_CCL_PreCheck_v1.4 for DS8880, which are used prior to performing any onsite or remote code updates.
Customers may also reconfigure the AOS broker list manually, using the DS8000 WUI "customer" login. Select "HMC Management" then "Manage AOS".
Add "aosback.us.ihost.com\:443" to the list. Note: previously sunset "aos.uk.ibm.com" entry can be removed it it exists.
Note: This only applies to HMCs that have Domain Name Servers configured. Customers who prefer their HMCs to not use DNS, will need to install the ICS disk.
The ICS disk does not apply for Customers that are using external AOS "jump" servers. External AOS servers will need to be reconfigured manually, by the server administrator.
