Error description

  • An ABENDS378 RC0C can occur near IQCCIN10 + x'0BDA' or IQCCIN20
+ x'06F2' when restarting IMS and when the DIAGxx IGVUNCOND
    trap is set. REASON CODE=0000000C

    Additional Symptom:
The timing at which the problem occurs can cause a different
    reason code as follows:
     An ABENDS378 RC18 or RC14 can occur near CSLSDR20 + x'0574'
when shutting down IMS and when the DIAGxx IGVUNCOND trap
     is set.
     REASON CODE=00000018
     REASON CODE=00000014

QCF extensions running in the IMS CTL region tries to release
storage for some work areas using the wrong PSW key during
    initial and termination processing.
It usually does not notice this defect because it issues the
STORAGE RELEASE macro with the COND=YES option. An ABENDS378
occurs when the DIAGxx IGVUNCOND trap is set.

Problem conclusion

  • QCF has been changed to release storage using the correct PSW
    key.
