Troubleshooting
Problem
This document details the Fix Central Quick Order option.
Resolving The Problem
This document details how to use the Fix Central Quick Order option for the Cumulative PTF Package, Hiper group, or Database group PTF.
The following steps will use the example of ordering a Cumulative PTF package for V6R1:
Step 1: Select release
From the Fix Central main page, after selecting the IBM i options for the Product group and product, select the appropriate release from the Quick order box.

Step 2: Select Cumulative PTF Package

Step 3: Log in using your IBM Registered ID. If you do not have an IBM Registered ID as yet, you should refer to Rochester Support Center knowledgebase document N1014933, Registering to Use Fix Central and Other IBM Web Sites:
.
Step 4: Decide whether to change the order and whether to customize the order

On the Download options screen, the order name is a date time stamp. For those ordering frequently or for more than one system, it would be a good idea to change the order name to something more meaningful, such as Cumulative SystemA.
If ordering for one system only, selecting the Customize your order option will bring up a sign on screen for that system.
Once you sign on to the system, Fix Central will compare the contents of the fixes you want to order with what is already on your system. The order will then be customized to include only the PTFs needed on the system.

Example if Customize your order is selected
The first popup, after selecting to customize the order, will be as follows:

Once customized, you will see the Order the reduced list of fixes option on the Download options screen. This option is deselectable. If a decision is made to no longer customize, the option can be unchecked.

Step 5: Choose an option for download.
