Troubleshooting
Problem
If the 'qniconfiguser' password in the server is set to an expire date, we can't add QRadar Network Insights (QNI) Server to the deployment.
Diagnosing The Problem
A similar error was displayed during the QNI host adding and we need to check the 'qniconfiguser' user password property.

Resolving The Problem
To check the 'qniconfiguser' user password property
- Run the command on QNI server to see whether the date is mentioned in the Password expires field.
chage -l qniconfiguser
- If you see a similar output to the example, then the Password expires field has to updated to 'never'.
Last password change : May 04, 2022 Password expires : <date> Password inactive : never Account expires : never
- Set Password expires to never expire by using the command.
chage -M -1 qniconfiguser
Results
You can now add the QNI host to deployment.
