Resolving The Problem
STRTCPSVR *CIMOM results in a QUMECIMOM job, however, it ends with no errors in the joblog.
- CIM Server enables the SSL connections by default. The CIM server checks for its private key and certificate during startup, and if either of those files does not exist, will create its private key and a self-signed 365 day certificate.
If certificate is not valid, that could cause the issue. Review CIMOM server certificate for more information.
- Additionally, an error may be displayed in the PegasusError.log for every attempt at starting CIMOM. File is located under /QOpenSys/QIBM/UserData/UME/Pegasus/logs directory.
Potential errors posted are:
SEVERE cimserver: PGS10033: The CIM Server is not started:
PGS02206: The configuration property repositoryMigrationState is not recognized.
The repositoryMigrationState was listed as a property in the customer's cimserver_*.conf files.
These files are located in directory path: /QOpenSys/QIBM/UserData/UME/Pegasus
The repositoryMigrationState is not a valid property.
If so, you can delete the two cimserver_*.conf files in directory /QOpenSys/QIBM/UserData/UME/Pegasus and restart CIMOM.
If above does not help to resolve, Collect logs for review of the problem:
- Type CALL QP2TERM and run:
openssl x509 -in /QOpenSys/QIBM/UserData/UME/Pegasus/ssl/keystore/servercert.pem -noout -text
Wait until finish. Press F6 to print the screen
- From same QP2TERM environment Run:
/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/UME/Pegasus/bin/cimmedic.sh
Wait until finish. Then send the /tmp/UME/cimmedic.tar.Z created along with the spool of the screen.
