Problem
User Sign-In login fails with the error.
AAA-AUT-0016 The function call to 'Method.invoke(cmServiceInstance,queryRequest)' failed
Error can be experienced by some users following upgrade of Cognos Analytics 11.x release running an Oracle content store database.
Issuing error observed when login through WLP dispatcher and web gateway URI.
Testing the same problematic users within IBM Cognos configuration authentication namespace, succeeds and able to query the authentication provider details with no issues that is, 3 green ticks.
Authentication service CAM_LPSrv process started and running in the background.
Symptom
Sign-In login online fails for the user with the error.
AAA-AUT-0016 The function call to 'Method.invoke(cmServiceInstance,queryRequest)' failed
Error observed for some users following upgrade of the Cognos Analytics 11.x release, potentially during an in-place Oracle content store database upgrade.
Cognos Analytics 11.x upgrade scripts show no errors during the upgrade process.
Cognos consistency check and fix scripts would likely not resolve any issue as the issues were not related inconsistent object and storeid metadata.
