Troubleshooting
Problem
This document discusses a likely cause of a CWBCO1003 RC10013 message when connecting with Access for Windows and or Access Client Solutions.
Resolving The Problem
The CWBCO1003 RC10013 is reporting a Microsoft Winsock error code 10013 - Access Denied.
This is normally going to be caused by firewall security type software running within Windows that is blocking an IBM i Access executable module access to connect to the network.
The IBM i Access communication executables are going to start with the prefixes of CWB* or PCS*; therefore, you should add rules to the firewall security type software on the Windows PC to allow those modules access to the network.
