APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Configuring analytics backup with a valid CA cert via the
`backupCerts` (K8s/OCP) or `analytics-backup-certs` (VMware)
parameter results in a connection failure error appearing in the
"ibm-apiconnect" operator and analytics storage pod logs.


Errors will contain messages similar to:
Caused by:
org.opensearch.common.io.stream.NotSerializableExceptionWrapper:
sdk_client_exception: Unable to execute HTTP request: PKIX path
building failed:
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException:
unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • Supplying custom certificates via the analytics backup and
restore configuration is not possible.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • All affected users should upgrade to API Connect v10.0.5.2.

Custom certificates can now be supplied as documented using the
`backupCerts` or `analytics-backup-certs` parameters (depending
on the chosen platform).

This fix is targeted at API Connect 10.0.5.2.
