In some situations it may be beneficial to roll back an upgrade and return to a previously installed version. This can be done by simply uninstalling the new version and installing the old one back, but a quicker method that does not remove configuration files is also available. Note that this only works to roll back to versions which the machine previously had installed, and an upgrade was applied on top.
When an upgrade is applied, a backup of the previous version is automatically created in the "tm1_64/bkp" directory. This backup directory only contains copies of the individual files that were modified by the upgrade, not the entire contents of the original directory. It is also recommended that a manual backup is taken before following these steps to roll back a version.
