Troubleshooting
Problem
When comparing directories using IBM® Rational ClearCase utfXXcleardiffmerge, you might see a different error message for each platform.
Symptom
For the following platforms, there are the error messages that are displayed:
- AIX:
utfXXcleardiffmerge: Error:Unexpected size difference while comparing files "<Folder 1>" and "<Folder 2>" - Ubuntu:
utfXXcleardiffmerge: Error:Unable to read file "<Folder 1>": Is a directory. - SLES:
utfXXcleardiffmerge: Error:Unable to read file "<Folder 1>": Is a directory. - Windows:
utfXXcleardiffmerge.exe: Error:Unable to open <Folder 1>: Permission denied - RHEL:
"<Folder 1>" is not a 'UTF-XX file'.
Use 'cleartool' to diff/merge other object types.
