Installation procedure

You need to install the following components on your SAP system:

RFC-enabled function modules for Bulk Extract Stage:
/IBMIIS/BE_DATA_TRANS
/IBMIIS/BE_DELETE_LUW
/IBMIIS/BE_DEST_MODIFY
/IBMIIS/BE_OPEN_CURSOR
/IBMIIS/BE_PACKAGE_SIZE
/IBMIIS/BE_PROGID_CHECK
/IBMIIS/BE_RUNTIME_SERVICE
/IBMIIS/BE_RUNTIME_SERVICE_CC
/IBMIIS/BE_SQL_PARSE
/IBMIIS/BE_SQL_VALIDATION
/IBMIIS/BE_TR_VERSION_CHECK
/IBMIIS/BE_UID_CONFIG

RFC-enabled function modules for Delta Extract Stage:
/IBMIIS/NG_DE_FETCH_XML_V1_0

RFC-enabled function modules for SAP BW Extract Stage:
/IBMIIS/BW_SRC_DELETE

Authorization roles that can be assigned to users:

/IBMIIS/CP4D-DS-BE-V1-0 - SAP Bulk Extract IBM CP4D DataStage
/IBMIIS/CP4D-DS-DE-V1-0 - SAP Delta Extract IBM CP4D DataStage
/IBMIIS/CP4D-DS-IDOC-V1-0 - SAP IDoc Extract IBM CP4D DataStage
/IBMIIS/CP4D-DS-BWEXTRACT - SAP BW Extract IBM CP4D DataStage

Step 1: Uploading the transport request files

To import the transport request files, you must first copy them to a directory on the SAP system.

Procedure
  1. Log on to the SAP system as a system administrator.
  2. Copy the transport files provided on the installation medium to the /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and /usr/sap/trans/data folders respectively on the SAP system. The original location of the transport files depends on the SAP version. For more information, see Table1.
Step 2: Importing the transport request files

The SAP administrator can import the transport request files by using one of the following methods:

Option 1 - Importing the transport request files by using the Transport Management System

Procedure
  1. Log on to the SAP system by using the SAP GUI as the SAP administrator.
  2. Enter the transaction STMS.
  3. Click Overview > Imports.
  4. Double-click the current SID in the Queue column.
  5. Click Extras > Other Requests > Add.
  6. Select the transport request ID for your SAP system configuration (refer to the relevant Table) and click Continue.
  7. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other transport requests.
  8. Select the transport request in the import queue and click Request > Import.
  9. Enter the Client number.
  10. On the Options tab, set the options Overwrite Originals and Ignore Invalid Component Version (if available) - scroll down for screen capture.
  11. You can also set the options to make it easier to reimport the transports later: Leave Transports Requests in Queue for Later Import and Import Transport Requests Again.
  12. Click Continue.
  13. Repeat steps 8 - 12 for each transport request.
  14. Verify that the function module and authorization roles were imported successfully by using any appropriate transactions such as SE80 and SU01.

Option 2 - Importing the transport request files at the operating system level

Procedure
  1. Log on to the SAP system as a system administrator.
  2. Add the appropriate requests to the import buffer by running the following command:
    tp addtobuffer <transport request> <SID>
    For example,
    tp addtobuffer ER0K900349 DD1
  3. Import the transport requests by running the following command:
tp import <transport request> <SID> client=<NNN> U1238 where <NNN> is the client number. For example,
    tp import ER0K900349 DD1 client=800 U1238
Note: the addition U1238 indicates to set the options shown at steps 10-11 in Option 1; the numbers indicate the corresponding option order number in the SAP GUI (scroll down for screen capture), which might vary by system, and hence this addition be adjusted by your SAP administrator.
  4. Verify that the function module and authorization roles were imported successfully by using any appropriate transactions such as SE80 and SU01.
