This document explains how to resolve the call home failures.
Disabling Service Agent and re-enabling it under the Service menu resolved the call home failures, and a test problem transmitted successfully:
GO SERVICE
Option 1. Change Service Agent attributes
Enable... *NO
followed by
GO SERVICE
Option 1. Change Service Agent attributes
Enable... *YES
Ensure the Service Agent jobs are all active:

| 2. | Send a new TEST problem GO SERVICE Option 15 to send a test problem with defaults for error log identifier. WRKPRB should show the test problem in PREPARED status. Use F5 refresh to see if it eventually goes to SENT status. After the test problem is changed to a PREPARED status, it will be sent provided we have a working ECS/Service Configuration. The timeframe for this to occur can vary at this point, as it depends on how your system ECS/Service Agent is configured. It is recommended that you check it after 10 minutes or so. Having a direct connection configuration, could get to either a SENT or ANSWERED status within a of couple minutes. |
| 3. | The following steps will update Electronic Service Agent to ignore the previous excessive open problems in the log that no longer need to be analyzed, or the problems can be closed manually from the WRKPRB command menu Option 8, Option 20 to close the problem and not transmit: Issue GO SERVICE Select Option 8. End jobs Select Option 70. Related Service Agent commands Select Option 1. Change Service Agent Type . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TYPE > *PRBLOG Ignore . . . . . . . . . . . . . IGNPRB > *YES Press Enter. Issue GO SERVICE Select Option 9. Start jobs Select Option 10. Work with jobs Verify the QS9* named Problem Reporting jobs are active Select Option 15. Send test problem using default settings |
