How to change the validity period of certificates signed by the Local CA in Digital Certificate Manager for i (DCM)

Objective

The following steps will allow the validity period of certificates signed by the Local CA to be increased:

1. Access DCM with the URL http:<ip address>:2001/dcm and click 'Open Certificate Store'.


2. Sign in to the 'Local CA' store:

3.  Near the top of the screen click 'Change Policy Data':

4. Change the number of days you would like new certificates to be valid for:

5. Click 'Change' and you should see the following message in the upper right corner:

This will only be used on any newly created certificates signed by the Local CA.
