Summary

This document applies to cases when TM1 data tier (TM1 Admin Server and TM1 Server) suddenly stops working with custom SSL/TLS, in a situation where getting the application back online within a short delay is imperative. Such issues might have multiple causes:

-Planning Analytics was upgraded, and some defect or product change is causing the certificate chain to be rejected. For example, since Planning Analytics 2.0.9.5, security was hardened: the chain of trust must conform to RFC-5280 standards (see https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc5280).

-The server certificate validity is expired, or the certificate was compromised, and generating a new certificate might require too much time.

-Any other issues that require time to be investigated or solved.
