Abstract

Detailed instructions on how to install IBM MQ 9.2.0.5 LTS, apply fix-pack (FP0006) 9.2.0.6, and setup HA RDQM for three nodes.

The purpose of this techdoc is to provide the steps for installing IBM MQ, applying the fix-pack, and then setting up HA RDQM.
The HA RDQM setup is configured only in 3 Linux servers/computers/nodes. The reason for only 3 servers is to avoid the split-brain situation in clusters. All the nodes connected to each other means they form a quorum. Queue manager only runs on a node that has a quorum. One Instance of queue manager will be active in the primary node and other instances are in a non-active state in secondary nodes.
It is recommended that you locate the 3 nodes in the same data center.
