Troubleshooting
Problem
When configuring Oracle 19c Autonomous DB as Content Store, the connection is not established in Cognos Configuration, and fails with the following error:
"IO exception: The Network adapter could not establish the connection"
In cognosserver.log, the error is:
CM-CFG-5063 A Content Manager configuration error was detected while connecting to the content store. CM-CFG-5036 Content Manager failed to connect to the content store.
The connection string is "jdbc:oracle:thin:@(description= (retry_count=20)(retry_delay=3)(address=(protocol=tcps)(port=1521)(host=xxxxxxxxxxxx))(connect_data=(service_name=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx))(security=(ssl_server_dn_match=yes)(ssl_server_cert_dn="CN=xxxxxxxxxxxx, OU=x, O=x, L=x, ST=x, C=x")))".

Symptom
Oracle 19c Autonomous DB cannot be successfully set up as the Content Store in Cognos Configuration.
However, the same connection is set up and tests successfully under Cognos Portal > Manage > Data Server Connections, with the same connection string values.
