Troubleshooting
Problem
The IBM Security Verify Access (ISVA) appliance can hold two partitions on the hard disk. This allows administrators to roll back to a known good partition during a firmware upgrade. It also allows administrators to backup the firmware partition before applying diagnostic or defect fixes from IBM Support.
When upgrading from one firmware version to another or performing a firmware backup it is possible for the usage of the '/boot' partition to change.
This technical document will explain what is stored on the '/boot' partition and when the usage of the partition may be an issue.
