Troubleshooting


Problem

All license services in 'Unknown' status, while flexlm poller is up and no error message in cacti.log. Need to check if License Poller Bin Directory is set properly.

Symptom

All license services in 'Unknown' status, while flexlm poller is up and no error message in cacti.log.

Diagnosing The Problem

From Console (tab) -> Configuration -> Settings -> General (tab)
Change Poller Logging Level to DEBUG - Statistics, Errors, Results, I/O and Program Flow


Check cacti.log, look for log message like
LIC LICPOLLERD: running cmd: cd /opt/flexlm/bin; ./licflexpoller -C 1 -d

Make sure the directory has licflexpoller.

Resolving The Problem

From Console (tab) -> License Management -> License Pollers -> FLEXlm Poller
Make sure License Poller Bin Directory contains licflexpoller
For the following example, the directory is wrong, it contains lmstat, not licflexpoller
