A 'F CATALOG,VCLOSE(339001)' completed successfully.
A 'F CATALOG,VUNALLOCATE(339001)' was issued but was unsuccessful.
The intent is to make the volume non SMS-managed.
Resolution:
The SFI error information indicates that the FMT4 DSCB still has flag bits on, indicating the volume is SMS-managed. Run a CONVERTV job to unconvert the volume from SMS. When a volume is deleted from a storage group, any allocation, such as DELETE will not go through SMS, but the SMS flags in the VTOC remain on until the CONVERTV is run.
