APAR status

Error description

  • Customer configure audit setting to send to rsyslog server. If
the message contains DBCS, the audit message is split into two
lines.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • Users with syslog auditing enabled using a DBCS character set
could find that audit messages are split over multiple lines for
some syslog servers.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Fixed for 10.0.5.1 and 10.0.1.9 to update the audit message
format to correctly calculate the message length regardless of
character set.
