IT42079: INTERNAL ERROR 500 ON GUI WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START AD HOC BACKUP JOB

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An ad hoc backup started in the IBM Spectrum Protect Plus GUI
  can stop with the following message seen in the GUI :

  The problem can affect any protected entity : VMware or Hyper-V
  guests, databases, etc.
  Scheduled backups are not affected.

Local fix

• As temporary alternative to an ad hoc backup, create a temporary
  SLA and schedule it to run only once as required.

Problem conclusion

• This problem has been fixed so the data is now processed
  correctly and no Error 500 appear on Adhoc backup.
