IBM z16 FICON Express32S Performance

This paper highlights the performance improvements delivered by FICON Express32S (FEx32S) on IBM z16. FEx32S is the latest version of the IBM Z I/O channels providing connectivity to FICON, zHPF and FCP protocol attached storage devices. It supports up to a 32Gbps link data rate, doubling the link speed offered by the previous generation channel, FICON Express16SA.
