Error description

  • Usage of a long double type in a 64-bit Metal C program is
    generating code that is 1 byte too large for the USING adressing
    range in the code. When assembling the HLASM, the assembler
    gives:

    ================================================================
    $ as --"NOADATA,GOFF(NOADATA)" -o test.o test.s

    000C8E 0000 0000  00000  4559   STD  2,@7myvar+8

    ASMA034E Operand @7myvar+8 beyond active USING range by 1 bytes
    ASMA435I Record 123 in /home/test/test.s on volume:
    The assemble step ended with rc = 8.
