APAR status

  • Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

  • A large COBOL program with errant sequence numbers is compiled
with the NUM option. The compiler handles the incorrect
sequence numbers, but a CodeCoverage report shows only 40% of
the code was executed even though the actual coverage was much
    higher.

Secondary symptoms might include error messages CRRDG7293E and
CRRDG7215E during import, or even an NPE (NullPointerException).

Local fix

  • specify the NONUMBER (NONUM) option at compile time
