IJ41134: NFSV4 CLIENTS RETURNS "UNKNOWN ERROR 521" AFTER SPECTRUM SCALE UPGRADE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After upgrade spectrum scale version from
  5.1.2.0-5.1.2.3 to 5.1.2.4 or
  any higher version, the NFSv4 client will
  throw below "unknown error 521"
  and failed to access NFS share.
  

Local fix

• unmount and remount NFSv4 share in all NFS clients.
  

Problem summary

• After upgrade spectrum scale version from
  5.1.2.0-5.1.2.3 to 5.1.2.4 or
  any higher version, the NFSv4 client will
  throw below "unknown error 521"
  and failed to access NFS share.
  

Problem conclusion

• This problem is fixed in 5.1.2 PTF 6

  Benefits of the solution:
   No more "unknown error 521" from the NFSv4 Client
  Work around:
  unmount and remount NFSv4 share in all NFS clients.
  Problem trigger:
  The issue is because of NFSv4 File handle size
  change in 5.1.2.4 or any higher version.
  Symptom:
  NFSv4 Clients throws "unknown error 521" after upgrade.
