How can I reduce the port congestion index alerts? Are these a real concern?

Troubleshooting

Problem

I am getting flooded by Port Congestion Index alerts from Storage Insights for a switch.  Are these alerts a real concern as the port send bandwidth is 1 - 5%?  How can I tune the alert?

Resolving The Problem

When the port send bandwidth percentage is small, the calculated port congestion index becomes a large number. Storage Insights ignores the value for port congestion when send bandwidth is less than 0.1. You can update the alert policy and alert definition to add a value like 5% for “ignore if the Port Send Bandwidth Percentage is less than this value”. Use this approach to fine-tune the alerts you receive in your environment.
