Error description

  • Admin Tool: GEN shows full table with all columns
and ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN statements for pending changes
when parameter "Including Db2 pending changes" is set to Y

Currently, when the GEN parameter 'including Db2 pending
changes' is set to Y, GEN shows the full table with all columns
and ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN statements for DROP COLUMN pending
    changes at the end.

With this APAR, when the GEN parameter 'including Db2 pending
changes' is set to Y, GEN will show the fully realized table
without the columns in DROP COLUMN pending changes.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When running the GEN function for a *
    * table with pending DROP COLUMN changes *
    * and the GEN parameter "Include Db2 *
    * pending chgs" set to Y, separate *
    * statements are generated to first *
    * create the full table and then apply *
    * the DROP COLUMN changes. However, the *
    * Y setting is to generate the final *
    * table without deleted columns and *
    *                      ALTER statements.                       *
    ****************************************************************
Currently, when the GEN parameter 'Include DB2 pending chgs' is
set to Y, the resulting SQL includes statements to create the
full table with all columns and then ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN
statements for any DROP COLUMN pending changes. With this APAR,
when 'Include DB2 pending chgs' is set to Y, the resulting DDL
creates the final table without the columns
in the DROP COLUMN pending changes. Separate ALTER statements
to drop the columns are not needed.
