Abstract
This fix pack provides product corrections for Cognos Planning 10.2.1.

This fix pack is cumulative and can be applied to any IBM Cognos Planning 10.2.1.x installations.
Prerequisites
This fix pack can be installed only over an existing installation of IBM Cognos Planning 10.2.1.x
The Contributor client installation no longer includes a Java Runtime Environment (JRE). If you run the Contributor client and a 32-bit JRE is not installed on your machine, a Startup Error occurs: “Cannot find 32-bit Java Runtime Environment”. See Technote 6243890 (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6243890).
This release contains the following conformance updates:
- Added support for latest versions of Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Google Chrome web browsers.
- Removed support for Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser.

Installation Instructions
Follow these steps after the download is complete.
- Install up_planning_win32_10.2.1500.0_ml.tar.gz to all instances of the Cognos Planning Server, Gateway, and Administration Console. There are two options:
- Install plangate_win32_10.2.1500.0_ml.tar.gz for a new 10.2.1.5 gateway
- Install version 10.2.1 first. Install up_planning_win32_10.2.1500.0_ml.tar.gz to upgrade to FP5.
- Install Contributor Client according to your scenario as described in column A with column B. You might need to uninstall the existing Contributor Client first.
