Error description
Unexpected exception behaviour is seen with an application compiled with xlclang++ and using optimization. The issue does not occur when no optimization is used. The execution of the code appears to throw an exception, however no exception is actually thrown - instead the execution proceeds into the exception handling 'catch' block incorrectly.
Local fix
Do not use optimization.
