Tacmd createnode fails on Windows 2019 Server

Question

When remotely installing a new Monitoring Agent for Windows OS using the 'tacmd createnode' command and the SMB protocol, the resulting error is seen:

KDY2034E Unable to connect to host 'myserver' using the provided credentials on the following protocols: [SMB| SSH| REXEC| RSH]
The following steps have been completed...
  • The credentials on the target system have been verified via a Remote Desk Top connection.
  • You are able to successfully map a Network Drive, using "net use", to the target remote server.
  • Locally installing the installable images running setup.exe with the same userid also works.
Furthermore, the steps described in documentation for the createnode requirements have been taken...

 
  • Security in your environment must be configured to permit createNode to pass through the firewall, using the protocol that you specify in the command parameters.
  • SMB requires that the default, hidden, and administrative shares be available on the drive being accessed and on the drive that hosts the System temporary directory.
  • SMB signing is not supported when connecting by using SMB. The computer to which you are deploying an OS agent cannot require SMB signing.
  • For all Windows computers, enable remote registry administration. (This is enabled by default.)
