APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • SPE service is not returning any data inside the
    MessageFromService instead it is
placing that data directly inside the ProcessData. Which is
    making the next steps fail
due to this irregular pattern of the service. This happens very
    intermittently. It only
    happens during high volume.

Local fix

  • This is a race issue, SPETransformation service was changing the
workflow mode for where the data will be written temporarily to
ProcessData, before it change it back to it is original mode,
another instance of SPETransfromation service store this value
"ProcessData" as the original mode for the workflow, causing all
subsequent SPETransformation service call to be written to
    ProcessData.

The fix will eliminate this race condition, it will only allow
the SPETransformation service to pass the workflow mode it
wants to work with, without changing it.
