IBM Watson Speech Services Cartridge for IBM Cloud Pak for Data is vulnerable to a potential issue in jackson-databind - fasterxml-jackson(217968). This Apache library is used by one of our Speech Service components. Please see below for remediation of this vulnerability.

IBM X-Force ID: 217968
DESCRIPTION: FasterXML jackson-databind is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error when using JDK serialization to serialize and deserialize JsonNode values. By sending a specially crafted request, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service.
