Abstract
You must install WebView2 Runtime yourself before you install Cognos Controller 10.4.1 IF 14 and later. WebView2 is not part of the Cognos Controller installation package.

Before you install Cognos Controller 10.4.1 IF 14 or later, you must download and install the Microsoft WebView2 Runtime. This application provides an embedded browser that displays context-sensitive help, login windows, and reports.
WebView2 Runtime is now required because Cognos Controller documentation no longer supports Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Procedure
- Ensure that you meet the system requirements.For more information, see the IBM Cognos Controller 10.4.1 Supported Software Environments.
- To install WebView2 Runtime, go to the Microsoft web page Download the WebView2 Runtime (https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/#download-section).
- Under Evergreen Standalone Installer, click the x64 download button.
- Download and run the installer file MicrosoftEdgeWebView2RuntimeInstallerX64.exe
- Start Controller and press F1.
The WebView2 embedded browser displays the online Help, as expected.
