Error description

  • Optim users upgrading to release 11.7 may encounter errors
causing the upgrade process to exit prematurely.
Errors encountered may include the following:

DSNE114E The combination of plan planname, auth ID authid, and
subsystem subsysname is not valid.
DSNE108E feedback reason code 'X00E30301' type X'00000800'
resource name - planname

* USERS AFFECTED: Optim users performing an upgrade from a     *
*                 prior release                                *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Optim users selecting installation      *
*                      option 2 for upgrade may experience an  *
*                      error causing the upgrade to exit       *
*                      prematurely prior to accomplishing any  *
*                      of the tasks required.                  *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the fix provided                       *
****************************************************************
Due to a programming error Optim was attempting
to retrieve an ISPF variable from the profile pool
before it had been assigned to it.

The upgrade process was invoking an Optim
load module prior to a valid DB2 plan has been
bound.
