Error description
When the user performs an install or upgrade on a Linux for System Z x64 bit system, the user could see the following error: ./install.sh: line 286: ./im32/installc: No such file or directory. The file ./im32/installc exist, but cannot run in a 64 bit system. Customer/L2 Diagnostics: Check to see if the file <extract directory>/im32/installc exists, IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected: IBM Spectrum Protect server 8.1.x on Linux for System Z platform
Local fix
For IBM Spectrum Protect version 8.1.13 or lower 1. Download the most current level of Installation Manager for Linux for System Z (64 bit) from IBM's Fix Central (https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/) 2. Follow the instructions to install or upgrade the Installation Manager. 3. cd <extracts directory> a. Example: cd /code/srv/8.1.14.100 4. Run the command: ./im64/installc -c -input im64/install.xml For IBM Spectrum Protect version 8.1.14.100 1. cd <extracts directory> a. Example: cd /code/srv/8.1.14.100 2. Run the command: ./im64/installc -c -input im64/install.xml
